FAQ

Questions are the root of all answers. If you have a question that's not answered here, please contact us using the form below.
Where do you operate?
RISE is located in Oshawa and would be happy to join you in Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Brooklin, Oshawa, Courtice, or Bowmanville for your home inspection.
How long does an inspection take?
Typically, around 2.5 – 3 hours. This can vary based on the size of the home and how accessible the mechanical systems are. The report is then created offsite and emailed to you within 24 hours.
Should I follow along?
Absolutely. We encourage you to join us through the inspection process to hear and see the inspector’s findings. It’s a valuable learning experience for most home owners.
What do you look at?
We inspect all of the major systems of the home which include:
• Roof
• Exterior
• Structure
• Electrical
• Heating
• Cooling
• Plumbing
• Insulation
• Interior
How much does it cost?
Our fees start as low as $375, and are based on the size of the home. For most homes in our area, the fee will range from $399 – $499.
What's included in the fee?
• Valuable education on the home being purchased/sold.
• Comprehensive report, filled with helpful photos, illustrations, and links to relevant information.
• Technical support from your home inspector for as long as you own the home.
What kind of report will I get?
We use HORIZON, a comprehensive web-based reporting system that produces an exceptional, easy-to-read report. The report includes not only a description of the home but documents our observations and recommendations. The report includes colour illustrations and photographs, as well as links to relevant reference materials.
Do you inspect cottages and rural properties?
Not yet. As of this time, RISE focuses on the inspection of suburban residential homes from Pickering to Bowmanville. Due to increasing demand, Ryan is expanding his skill set through continuing education and aims to add rural inspections to his offerings in the near future.
